The person behind Nail Therapy
Meet Jolien
Here's the thing nobody tells you when you start a nail brand: I couldn't do my own nails. Never could. Zero skill, shaky hands, the lot.
For years, that meant driving to salons. Hundreds of rand a set, every time, for application and driving again for removal. Add the appointment, the drive there and back, the hour or two just sitting in the chair. I told myself that was simply how it worked. Everyone did it that way, so it had to be the way.
Except my nails were a mess. Constantly thin, constantly breaking, forever recovering from the last removal before the next appointment started the damage all over again. And I still didn't know how to do it myself - I didn't want to learn to file, soak, scrape. I just wanted my hands to look done without handing over my Saturday and my budget to get there.
Then I found this specific kind of gel wrap, and it properly changed how I thought about the whole thing. No more driving. No more expensive and time-taking salon visits. No more harsh chemicals stripping my nails down every few weeks. As close to zero skill as it gets - which, coming from me, is really saying something.
It's a little funny, if you think about it - a nail company built by someone who doesn't do nails. But that's exactly the point. If it works for me, it will work for you too.
I've always believed taking time for yourself isn't optional - it's essential for a healthy mind. But I've also got a stack of empty journals to prove how hard that is to actually do. That's how the Reflection Card was born - not a freebie tucked into the box, but the other half of the ritual. Nail care for your hands. A quick check-in for your mind.
Welcome to the tribe. I built this because I needed it myself - a way to feel put-together without the driving, the cost, or the guilt of not having the skill. You deserve a few quiet minutes that are just yours.
